We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our devotees, users, and visitors. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you use our global pilgrimage tracking application, in strict compliance with Google Play Developer policies.
1 Information We Process
To provide a highly synchronized, real-time spiritual tracking experience across 130+ countries, our compiled mobile architecture processes the following data:
Precise Location Data (GPS)
The App accesses precise geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) to verify physical presence and enable the geofenced check-in features of our system.
тАв Proximity Calculation: Standard Fused Location Provider APIs calculate your physical distance from the Padyatra chariot. Check-in is granted only within the 500m geofence.
тАв Foreground Only: Coordinates are processed only when the app is active in the foreground and you click the verification button. We do NOT track, collect, or store location history in the background.
тАв Absolute Safety: Location coordinates are processed transiently for real-time verification and are never saved on our servers or shared with any third party.
тАв Cryptographic Sandbox Device Tokens: To prevent duplicate rate-limiting exploits and maintain high database integrity on our Vyasa Puja Tribute Board, a persistent unique device token is generated on first load and stored in the secure local sandbox storage. This identifier is completely anonymous and cannot be linked to any real-world identity.
тАв Vyasa Puja Tribute Wall (User-Generated Content): Devotees voluntarily offering prayers and birthday wishes to H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaj submit their Name, Location, and message text. To manage database integrity, these wishes undergo a 10-minute client-side lock period, during which they can be edited only by the original sender, after which they are automatically approved and displayed on the public wall.
2 System Permissions Transparency
To function correctly and efficiently, our app requests minimal device permissions. We declare the following for complete transparency based on Google Play Store listings:
Purpose: Allows precise GPS coordinates tracking for geofenced check-in and dynamic Leaflet OSM rendering.
Data Policy: Processed locally in the foreground. No background tracking, saving, or sharing.
Purpose: Acts as a fallback to calculate regional distance metrics when GPS signals are weak.
Data Policy: Processed transiently in real-time. No logs retained.
Purpose: Delivers real-time push alerts regarding Live Darshan launches or route progressions.
Data Policy: Opt-in only. Devotees can easily enable or disable these alerts via Android settings.
Purpose: Establishes secure HTTPS connections to load maps, sync stats, and stream darshan.
Data Policy: Used purely for secure, real-time edge network communication.
Purpose: Detects connection state to trigger a seamless offline fallback mode.
Data Policy: No history logged. Used solely for runtime state diagnostics.
Privacy Policy Guarantee: This application does NOT require, collect, or ask for sensitive device permissions like `CAMERA`, `RECORD_AUDIO`, `READ_CONTACTS`, or background location tracking, ensuring a safe and privacy-first devotee experience.
3 Cloud Infrastructure & Programmatic Ads
To sustain our high-speed global server hosting, real-time edge databases, and zero-delay CDNs for millions of active concurrent users across 130+ countries, we integrate non-intrusive programmatic advertisement layers. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and agree to this hosting model. Devotees may configure secure Private DNS filters if they prefer an un-monetized UI.
4 Data Safety, Encryption & Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade devotee data under any circumstances. All transmissions between the App and our secure Realtime Database are encrypted via industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols. We do not engage in any passive or silent background collection of coordinates, device activities, or network states.
5 Data Retention & Deletion Policy
Since our app does not require account creation, there is no permanent user profile to delete. However, if you wish to delete your past submitted Vyasa Puja tributes or contact details from our active databases, you can directly email our administration with the subject "Data Deletion Request". Upon receiving a verifiable request, we will permanently delete your personal data within 24 to 48 hours.
